11+ Mock Examinations at Cedar Tree Tuition

Join us at Cedar Tree Tuition for a focused and effective approach to the South West Herts Consortium 11+ tests. Our GL Assessment-Style mock exams in Verbal Reasoning and Maths are designed to give Year 5 pupils a solid foundation for their upcoming exams in September 2025.

Who Is Eligible? 

 

Our sessions are open to all Year 5 pupils preparing for the SW Herts 11+ examinations, regardless of whether they are enrolled at Cedar Tree Tuition. We offer two sets of tests in each subject. 

 

What We Offer 

 

Our mock exams provide a realistic glimpse into the actual 11+ tests. Developed with the expertise of an 11+ test author and the Cedar Tree Tuition team, these tests aim to create a comfortable and familiar testing environment for all pupils. Two sets of examinations are currently on offer.

Session Features 

 

• Structured Exam Setting: Each session, lasting two and a half hours, is designed to reflect the actual test environment, helping pupils adapt to the exam conditions they will face. 
   

• Unique Test Papers: The mock examinations include original and unpublished GL Assessment-style multiple-choice papers, presenting new challenges and learning opportunities.  We use genuine exam materials like question booklets and multiple-choice answer sheets to provide an authentic exam experience.

• Timed Exam Format: Pupils will experience a timed exam setting, with 60 Maths questions and 80 Verbal Reasoning questions each to be completed in 50 minutes, enhancing their time management skills. 
   

• Actual Examination Venue: The mock exams take place in a venue used by the South West Herts Consortium, offering a true-to-life exam environment. 

 

Feedback and Analysis

• Efficient and Accurate Marking: Our use of Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology ensures prompt and precise marking of the answer sheets. 
   

• Detailed Performance Reports: Pupils receive a comprehensive report detailing their scores, areas of strength, and areas needing improvement, along with a comparison with the group average. 
   

• Peer Score Comparison: We provide anonymised scores from other candidates for a more comprehensive understanding of each pupil's performance.
   

• Test Paper Review Session: The fee includes an opportunity to come and have look at the papers in person and ask qualified staff questions if necessary.
